As part of the first annual Grassroots Game Conference, held from April 23 through April 29, 2012 throughout the city of Philadelphia, a panel discussion was held on the subject of using gamification practices to aid in fundraising efforts. Located in in the CBS Auditorium at the University of the Arts, a panel of individuals from a variety of backgrounds in and around the videogame, gamification, and finance-based industries spoke on their work in fiscal sponsorship, hosting fundraising campaigns, creating business models, and more.
Represented on the panel was Thaddeus Squire, founder of CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia; Dianne Debicella, Program Director for Fiscal Sponsorship of Fractured Atlas; David Gloss, CEO of Here’s My Chance; and Nathan Solomon, founder of FundingWorks and the Philadelphia Game Lab.
