While the nation mourns a senseless tragedy, local residents are finding ways to show their support for the victims of the shooting at Pulse in Orlando.

Here are a few things you can do in the Philadelphia area to help raise awareness and/or lend your support:

A concert to end gun violence will take place on Sunday, June 19th from 3PM to to 4PM. The event will be held at the First Presbyterian Church (201 S 21st St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19103). The official Facebook Event can be found HERE. More information on official vigils as they come up can be found on the #WeAreOrlando website.

Orlando residents turned out in record numbers immediately following the tragic Pulse shooting. Blood banks reached capacity soon after a call was put out, but more donations will be needed as they work through that supply.

It is never a bad time to remind everyone about the importance of local blood supplies, so check out the American Red Cross’ donation site to find a drive near you.

Anyone who is willing and able to lend financial support to victims can visit the official GoFundMe page, run in partnership with Equality Florida and the National Center for Victims of Crime.

There are a number of great resources in the Philadelphia area serving the LGBT community
