In the recent presidential debate, candidates have talked about police protection, “stop and frisk”, and violence in the black community. At this first Chat in the Stacks, participants take a closer look at the discussions on how race, policy, and violence in recent months is either being presented or ignored in the national presidential election. Law enforcement officials will talk about the issues and how to keep young people and students of color safe in a changing social climate.
